Why Don't We Ask?

What do you do when it happens?
When the thing you've spent hours and days and years praying desperately for actually happens...
The kind of answer that makes your mouth drop open and your eyes fill with tears.
Yeah, THAT kind.

God is able to do anything and everything BEYOND what we can even imagine!
So why don't we ask?
Why don't we really believe that He will work miracles in our lives?
Why are we so short-sighted that we miss the chance to see just how much He will do in our lives?

Lord, help our unbelief.
Heal our hearts.
Show us Your glory.

Simple and beautiful...making it so much more powerful! Thanks for sharing, friend. Definitely an encouragement and an exhortation to me today. <3

I think fear sometimes creeps in and keeps us from asking with confidence but even when that's the case I am so grateful that His perfect love casts out that fear long enough for me to muster up the courage to ask for that miracle.

Very encouraging post!

Now you've got me thinking...what audacious thing should I be asking for, because perhaps God is just waiting for the request to come through? I want to believe his promises more and more of his incredible love for us. I've been asking for the removal of worry....I think I'll continue asking again today.

I'm learning to fling my arms open wide and just ask. It can't hurt, right? Thanks for linking up! I've missed you!

I think that many times we're afraid of hearing a different answer than the one that we want to hear. Or worse still, hearing wait. Then again, a lot of times, I think in our humanity we forget that He has all the answers and those answers are always for our best, even if we don't think so. :) Love you friend!

Lately I'm learning to just talk to God instead of worrying about what the perfect prayer should be.

I had 8 months to contemplate my surgery. I waited and waited and waited for the day to come. 2 nights before surgery, panic set in as I was trying to get to sleep that night. I was wide awake. I was questioning all of the decisions that I had made to get to that point. That's when I started talking to God about them. He eased my mind, and I was comforted. Up until then, I hadn't really talked to Him about it. I have no idea why I waited so long.
